My thoughts on blogging

  • What are your previous experiences with blogging?

In intermediate, our class would write about events that we experienced, such as the Manaiakalani Film Festival. We also would blog our speeches or narrative writings, so that other people could read and comment on our blogs. I stopped blogging when I came to college.

  • How do you think blogging impacts on your learning?
I think blogging impacts on my learning because it can teach me how to express more in the way I learn, for example writing about how my day was, or what was going through my mind during a certain time, this makes me feel confident with my audience which lets me express.

  • How do you feel about blogging? Why?
What I feel about blogging is it can be boring when there isn't a story or post I want to write about, because I'm not interested in that topic. If there was a topic I was interested in, I would be more locked into my writing, allowing me to write properly.

Hi Autymn, I really enjoyed reading your post about blogging! I definitely agree that blogging can have a really positive effect on your writing and your learning. It's a great place to share your ideas and your experiences with others and get feedback. I hope that you'll blog a lot this year!

Cheers,
Rachel (from the Summer Learning Journey blogging programme)

Thanks for being honest with your post Autymn. How do you think I can help you to enjoy blogging more, when you are interested in a topic? Although I will do my best to creative lessons that are interesting for you, sometimes I cannot please everyone! So my challenge for you this year is to find parts of topics that you are interested in, or express what you don't like about that topic. This is, of course, your place to share your thoughts, as you have outlined in your post. Look forward to more posts, Miss D.
