Dragon on the loose

We are live in central park reporting to you about a vicious dragon on the loose. There’s no explanation on how it got here, we’re just wondering where it came from. Back to you Paul, live from central park. Well we are having trouble with people running around screaming their lungs out, Paul tries to concentrate on getting information back to the studio. “To get more information I will read description of the dragon, here we go”, says Paul in a frightened way.

His eyes glow with fiery red pupils. People say when you look into the dragons eyes, you go through 4 stages of complete death. To avoid death you have to successfully complete the         stages without, saying ‘this hurts’. Here are the stages:
  • Blindness / 2 days
  • Dehydration / 1 day
  • Pins and Needles on the face / 1 day
  • Itchy rashes everywhere / 1 day

His legs are big, and they have sparkly green scales. His claws look like 5 razor sharp swords, ready to slice, with pointy long toes. His claws can rip up a body within 2 seconds.

The dragons body is nice and slim, his skin shines when he enters the light. He glows when his eyes looks straight into water. Then the most beautiful things happen. He turns into a bright shining water lily, but when he hears people he gets really angry and starts to grow even bigger and stronger, to search for his prey.

The dragon’s wings gather up air and throws it back into the sky, they flutter like 2 fans dripping with blood. They both sway left to right when the dragon lands to visit all the feared people.

People say that he has been around for more than a decade, and everyone knows how he is still alive. People say it has a power that can make you live more than 100 decades, and still he looks like he has the strength of a thousand men.

His mouth is covered with razor sharp teeth and he breathes out fire so hot, it can melt hell! He blows out red smoke, and searches with his is fiery eyes looking for something to devour.

You have now heard all the things that the describe this peculiar beast. So just a reminder don’t ever look into this dragons eyes and if you ever see this dragon up in the misty clouds call us asap at 0800 492 7812  . For a little bit more info this beast is predicted to be called the Red Knight Rider. Thank you and have a good evening, , we hope you tune in tomorrow on channel 3 live for some more news about the Red Knight Dragon.

The Inner Solar System

The Inner Solar System:

In this article, it tells us about things I didn’t even know about. Like different types of gases, sizes and the approximate time it takes for a planet to orbit the sun. It takes 365 days for Earth to orbit the sun and it takes Venus 224 days to orbit. I also learnt that terrestrial is a fancy word for ‘rocky’. The sun is a big ball of of hydrogen powered by nuclear reactions. It takes about 8 minutes to warm Earth, ‘WOAH’.

Nets - Isosceles

22 Aug 2014 09:49:16.jpg
W.A.L.T: Making nets.

When I was making an equilateral triangle I had to know how to correctly use a compass and each side has to be equal. I made a square based pyramid -with  Isosceles triangles. I found this easy because I got the hang of using a compass and ruling off each side, but I also found this hard by constructing it together and making flaps. Next I would like to learn is how to construct a square.

Scale Drawings

8 Aug 2014 10:03:02.jpg
I learned to use scale to enlarge my drawing. I used a scale of 1cm to represent 4cm. This means that my drawing was 4 times bigger. The task was confusing because this was my first time enlarging a picture. I need more practice to perfect my drawings on this topic. Next I would like to learn the reduction of a picture.

Positioning Fractions on the Number Line

W.A.L.T: Position fractions on the number line.

In this game I needed to know how many pieces were on the number line, then I had to simplify the fraction. I found this game easy and difficult because I know how to turn fractions into equivalent fractions, but it became harder. Next I would like to learn more algebra.

Comparing Fractions

W.A.L.T: Compare fractions.

In this game I find this difficult. It involved multiples and fractions. My score in this game was moderate because I knew some of my fractions but, next time I am going to get an even higher score. Next I would like to learn more about algebra.

Bus Money

W.A.L.T: Solve problems in financial literacy

In this game, it tells you how much money you have to receive from the customers. The money you receive has to be enough. I found this game easy because, the sums that were given were not really hard for me, but when it got to level 3&4 it became harder and faster. I would like to learn algebra next.
